Recently I watched Wong Kar Wai’s film Chungking Express, starring Tony Leung and Faye Wong. I grew to love the song Dream Lover which appears in the second half of the film and sung by Faye Wong.
I have been searching for the soundtrack album but found a good recording on YouTube. I also learnt that the song was originally released by The Cranberries in 1993 and titled Dreams.
Listen to both of these songs and compare the songs in Cantonese and English. I prefer Faye Wong’s version as her voice is much stronger.
